Research for May 2008

May 1, 2008 - Here's an overview of our publication and survey plan for May.

Subscriber publications: The new edition of The 1-19 Unit Apartment Report will be available by the middle of May. We will also publish an online weekly 5-page apartment investment updates for Apartment Advisor subscribers and an update of our Condominium Conversion List near the end of May. We also update the online database of apartment sales almost every Friday morning so that Apartment Investment Report subscribers can create custom reports online using the most recent sales data.

Participant surveys: May is a slow survey month. Except for our ongoing survey of apartment sales, we're not conducting any other surveys in May. Our next survey is the rent and vacancy survey for 20-unit and larger apartments. That happens in September.

Please check the "What's new" box to the left to find new articles. We also use the "What's new" section to let subscribers and participants know when we have published something they can download, and when we start our next survey so participants can download survey forms.

Today's graph

May 9, 2008 -  This graph shows the average capital expense per unit actually incurred by apartments in the Puget Sound region (King, Pierce, Snohomish, Kitsap, and Thurston counties). This information is from the current (March 2008) edition of The Apartment Expense Report. The report is based on our annual study of year-end operating statements for more than 70,000 units in the region.
