Rent for the average single-family home in King and Snohomish counties is $1,741 a month, up 4.5% from $1,666 a month last year.
These are some of the findings from our spring 2009 survey of 3,000 rental homes in King and Snohomish counties, published each May in our 1-19 Unit Report.
Although the overall average rent trend is useful, it's better to look at submarket trends. Our annual report shows rent and rent per net rentable square foot information for King and Snohomish counties separately, as well as six submarkets in King county, and 44 neighborhoods.
Here's a look at the rent trend in one submarket,as well as the current single-family average rents in each submarket.
